There are some of the most common natural stone used in building and design, along with their different properties.
Granite is durable, strong and abrasion-resistant. It is often used for exterior cladding, paving, flooring and countertop.
Marble is warm, sophisticated aesthetic, easy to maintain, well suited for wet areas. It is usually used for countertops, vanity tops, vanity back splashes, tabletops, flooring, walls, windowsills, mosaic and staircase.
Travertine is type of limestone. It is acid-sensitive. There are different finishes available, like polished, honed, brushed and tumbled. Travertine is not as hard as granite or as soft as marble.
Quartzite is formed from sandstone, it is dense, hard, abrasion-resistant and durable. It is widely used for kitchen countertop, stairs, wall, flooring and decorative application.
